The Tastiest Dessert – Almond Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup butter – softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Extra sugar for dusting
  • Extra pinch salt – optional


  1. Preheat oven to 350ºand line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the extracts and a pinch of salt. Mix in well. Add the flour and mix just until all is well combined. Do not overmix.
  4. In a rimmed dish, combine sugar with an optional pinch of salt.
  5. Roll the balls into a size of about 1-inch and then roll in the sugar making sure they are well coated.
  6. Place on the lined baking sheets. Press down on them lightly with the back of a soup spoon to flatten just a bit.
  7. Bake until the edges are golden. – 12-15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
